Sugata [configuration]: Slender shinogi-zukuri, with deep koshi-zori, ko-kissaki

Kitae [forging pattern]: A mixture of it.mes  and mokume hada

Hamon [tempering pattern]: Narrow suguha in slight ko-nie 

Boshi [tip]: Narrow, straight-off with no kaeri

Nakago [tang]: Iriyamagata with nakago-jiri, two mekugi-ana, signed Toyoshima Minamoto Masatomo,

Habaki [collar]: Copper-gilt

Koshirae [mount]: The tachi koshirae decorated with gold foil inlay and hiramaki-e with paulownia crests (kiri mon)  on a rich nashiji ground

Nagasa [length from kissaki to machi]: 54 cm., 21 ¼ in. 

Saki-haba [width at the yokote]: 1.6 cm., ⅝ in. 

Moto-haba [width at the machi]: 2.3 cm., 1 in.
