This animated musical fantasy was inspired by the song Yellow Submarine by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. The animation features songs by The Beatles. The Beatles appear as animated characters in the film, with their voices being done by other actors, until the final scene, when their real voices are used.

It is exceptionally rare to find this poster unfolded. Generally film posters were not issued rolled until 1977.
