A Louis XV-style gilt-bronze mounted turtleshell contra-boulle mantel clock, circa 1860


3½-inch thirteen piece enamel cartouche dial, signed to the centre Payne & Cie, Paris, the similarly signed Vincenti movement with Brocot suspension, outside count wheel striking on a bell, the waisted case with eagle surmount, veneered in brass and inlaid with red shell
