Description

Dr. No / Agente 007 - Licenza di Uccidere (1962) Poster, Italian, Re-release 1970s. Style B

Artist: Averardo Ciriello (1918-2016)

Unframed: 38 5/8 x 26 3/4 in. (98 x 68 cm)

This poster was designed to promote a very small James Bond film festival in Italy in the 1970s. This poster is unique in design. Prior to conservation linen backing a 007 United Artists archive stamp could be seen on the reverse.

Exceptionally rare. No more than two of these posters have surfaced to-date.

Dr. No was released in 1962 and was the first ever James Bond film. It was directed by Terence Young and stars Sean Connery and Ursula Andress. This hugely popular film series has gone onto make a total of twenty-four films to-date.

The Greg Ferland collection. Previously in a private collection of posters from United Artists' archive, which was discovered in Italy in the 1980s.
