the broad vase on tripod feet with domed cover and two applied cloisonné enamel handles with gilt-copper edges, decorated overall in various coloured enamels and thicknesses of silver wire, with two panels alternately depicting sparrows among wisteria and wild pinks, and an eagle among plum blossom, the feet with elaborate dragon masks, the domed cover with karakusa, lotus sprays and other flowers and foliage above a band of lappets, chrysanthemum-shaped finial in purple enamels, silver gilt liner
