Rolex launched the Submariner 5513 in 1962, 8 years after the first rolex diver's watch was introduced to the market. It was produced until 1989, making it one of the longest running references in the Submariner family.
Its design remained quite unchanged over 27 years, however collectors can differentiate the early gloss dials from the subsequent matte dials and finally the gold-circled index dials.
This example has a well preserved case and the celebrated meters first dial.
