Movement: oval damascened nickel movement, lever escapement, jewelled to the centre

• Dial: silver, Arabic numerals, outer minute ring, signed Tavannes

• Case: gold, custom made, the upper case with diamond-set panels in imitation of wings, the head set with calibré-cut sapphires and acting as a pusher to open the wings and reveal the dial, two legs naturalistically detailed beneath and with two additional forelegs forming a pendant, the body engraved with stylised Egyptian hieroglyphs, case back numbered 448106, 1, with a chain
