A silver cylinder watch with date and large slow beating balance

Circa 1790

• Movement: gilded, decoratively pierced backplate engraved with scrolling foliage, cylinder escapement, fusee and chain, large flat balance, decoratively pierced and engraved balance bridge with polished steel end-cap, broad regulation arc at edge of plate

• Dial: restored white enamel, subsidiary dials for date with Arabic numerals and time with Roman numerals, outer minute ring, blued steel central seconds hand indicating to outer track, aperture for winding, signed Hahn Junior in Stuttgardt

• Case: silver, plain polished back, scooped bezels, stop slide to bezel by 15 second marker, case stamped LKB in rectangular cartouche
