A set of five oak hall chairs, England, second half 19th century
the backs decorated with painted portraits of coat of arms (one seat and two feet damaged)

Suite de cinq "hall chairs" en chêne, travail anglais de la seconde moitié du XIXème siècle
les dossiers ornés de portraits peints d'armoiries (une assise et deux pieds accidentés)
Haut. 100 cm, larg. 40 cm, prof. 47 cm
Veuillez noter que ces chaises sont d'époque George II, vers 1740. La couronne
figurant sur le dossier est celle d'un Baron. A l'origine, une moulure entourait
probablement le médaillon peint // Please note that these chairs are George II
period, circa 1740. The coronet is that of a Baron. There also seems to have been a
moulding that originally went around the painted roundels.
