of rectangular form, the exterior decorated with two ivory plaques carved in low relief with a cypress tree between two floral vases, surrounded by an openwork border of floral arabesque plaques with fine checkerboard borders, the bracketed legs veneered with tortoiseshell and en-suite openwork ivory floral borders, the interior plain with a simple micromosaic frame
