Tasted in 2009, the year this vintage was launched. Pinot Noir 62%, Chardonnay 38%, Grands Crus 73%, Premiers Crus 27% and including 7% Aÿ Pinot Noir vinified in red. Deepish colour. Very fragrant, Pinot noir nose. Big, 'sweet' (ripeness, not dosage), mellow, hugely fruity Champagne. Really vinous. Strawberries and roses. Totally succulent. Very full wine, at the beginning of its life. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
