painted with birds on branches and Chinese texts in iron red and black with gilt highlights, with matching covers, the silver rims flat-chased with scrolling foliage and flowerheads on matted ground, straight gadroon borders, the first with bud finial, marked with maker’s marknot clear and with Paris crowned bell countermark for 1726-32, the second with swirled acanthus finial, with Paris foxhead discharge mark for 1738-44
