each stocky beast with rounded hollow body raised on four short legs, the large lion's head with open jaws and a spout emerging between pointed teeth, the short bushy tail rising up behind and also hollowed out as a spout, brightly enameled with iron-red spiral motifs on the body and with aubergine and yellow chilong on green-ground flame motifs molded in relief on the flanks, the mane and head painted in green, red, yellow and aubergine with black line details, applied paper labels Chait Galleries, New York
