resting on a shaped base with ovolo border, the stepped base underlined by thread frieze applied with 8 cartouches, the stem base spirally fluted, the stem decorated with acanthus flower panels topped with stylised shells, the base engraved with initials JC within a lozenge, with two nozzles by Jean-François Balzac, Paris, 1760-1761
