AN EXTENSIVE ASSEMBLED SÈVRES AND PARIS PORCELAIN DINNER SERVICE, CIRCA 1820
with gilt rims decorated in variations of grapevine ornament and solid-gilt bands, comprising:
81 plates (45 Paris and 36 Sèvres), diameter 9 3/8 in.;
19 soup plates ( 11 Paris and 8 Sèvres), diameter 9 1/4 in.;
then of Paris porcelain:
16 large plates, 10 3/4 in.;
a pair of footed oval tureens, covers and stands, width across handles 14 in.,
and a further oval tureen, cover and stand, width across handles 13 3/8 in;
8 oval dishes in graduating sizes, widths between 15 in. - 19 7/8 in.;
8 circular dishes in graduating sizes, diameters between 12 in. - 15 1/4 in.;
3 circular vegetable dishes and covers, and an additional cover, diameter 10 1/8 in.;
2 oval footed sauce-tureens and covers on fixed stands, width 10 in.
2 reticulated oval baskets on reticulated stands, width of stands 12 3/4 in.;
and a salad or fruit bowl, diameter 9 3/4 in.,
printed DARTE/ FRERE/ A PARIS marks in iron-red, NAST/ a/ Paris in iron-red;
of Sèvres porcelain:
a two-handled circular bowl and cover, width across handles 11 3/4 in.;
2 circular footed comports, height 4 3/4 in.;
2 footed sauce boats and stands, and a Paris footed sauce boat, length 9 7/8 in.;
2 Sevres boat-shaped dishes, 10 5/8 in. long;
2 footed fruit bowls, diameter 9 5/8 in.;
a mustard pot and cover on fixed stand diameter 5 5/8 in.;
and 7 cups,
printed interlaced LL mark in blue containing fleur-de-lys and Sevres; various gilder's marks and incised marks. 179 pieces.
