caisses à fleurs carrées, of the second size, painted with front oval panels of a couple in a barnyard scene, and two maidens by a stream, attributed to Etienne-Jean Chabry, the remaining three sides with sprays of flowers, all within rich gilt-foliate scrolls and flower heads, with gilt knop finials, on square feet, each with interlaced L's in blue containing date letters CC for 1780, painter's mark in blue of three dots for Jean-Baptiste Tandart l'aîne, gilder's mark 2000 in blue for Henry-François Vincent le jeune, later père
