An Italian circular specimen marble top, probably by the Lopes workshop, Palermo, second half 19th century

This table top is related to the work of the Lopes workshop, specialized in inlaid marble tables, established in the centre of Palermo on Corso Cassaro Morto, later renamed Corso Vittorio Emmanuele. Active from the early 1800s and throughout the 19th century, members of the workshop include Salvatore, Filippo, and Francesco Lopes.
