1959 Los Angeles Dodgers World Series Championship Ring Presented To Broadcaster Jerry Doggett

The Los Angeles Dodgers wasted no time in bringing championship ball to the West Coast. Just one year after relocating from Brooklyn, the Dodgers took the 1959 National League pennant after beating the Milwaukee Braves in a best-of-three playoff, then outlasted the Chicago White Sox in six games for the World Championship. The 1959 team was the perfect combination of the old “Boys of Summer” of Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese and Gil Hodges and the future dynasty of Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale and Maury Wills.

Presented here is a stunning 14K Los Angeles Dodgers 1959 World Series championship ring presented to former Dodger broadcaster Jerry Doggett. The top of this ring has an oval shape with “LOS ANGELES” and “WORLD CHAMPIONS” along the outside in raised relief. A blue stone is set on the face with a large diamond in the middle, centered in square-shaped border. The left shank has “19” and “59” set in the upper corners with an image of Los Angeles City Hall with a baseball that has the Dodgers famous script logo engraved. The opposite shank has a raised baseball with crisscrossing bats and the name “Jerry Doggett” is engraved in the middle. The interior band has “BALFOUR 14K” engraved and the ring is a size 10 ½, weighing approximately 32.08 grams. The ring is in good condition and a great piece of Dodgers history from their first World Series title on the west coast.
