A silver-gilt and shaded cloisonné enamel casket, 11th Artel, Moscow, circa 1908-1917


rectangular, raised on four bracket feet, decorated with brightly-coloured enamelled flowers and geometric decoration in shades of peach, green, and blue against a stippled ground, the four corners of the lids with flowerheads against a pale grey ground, the decorative panels on the sides framed with beaded borders and panels of floral ornament, the hinged lid with green hardstone thumbpiece, gilt interior, struck on the cover and the underside with maker's mark, 84 standard
