The design for this chandelier was directly inspired from one executed by André-Charles Boulle in the early 18th century now in the collects ions of the Louvre Museum, Paris (inv. no. OA5101), also illustrated in H. Ott.mes yer and P. Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, Vol. 1, 1986, p.52, fig. 1.6.5). A related example after the same model was offered at Christie's London, Noble & Private collects ions Part II, 27 April 2016, lot 208 and a further one at Replica Shoes 's Olympia, 11 February 2003, lot 401.
