Pritchard lists Humbert-Droz as a family of watchmakers who, during the 18th century, were one of the principle établissages in La Chaux-de-Fonds area. The company specialized in plain and repeating watches (see: K. Pritchard, Swiss Timepiece Makers 1775-1975, p.H-62).
