清十九世紀 白玉鏤雕富貴吉祥擺件


the vertical boulder carved with a dynamic openwork composition of a blossoming peony plant emerging from a cluster of pierced rockwork, the stems sweeping in varied directions and issuing twisting leaves and flowers at various stages of bloom, on one side a small quail glancing at its mate perched on a high limb, on the other a large phoenix displaying its plumage and leaning toward a second phoenix roosting below, the stone a creamy alabaster tone, wood stand (2)
