2 volumes, 16mo. First State: Text leaves toned, a few leaves chipped, loss to corners of preliminary leaves (but pieces present). Original yellow coated wrappers pictorially printed in black and blue; fractional loss at head and tail of spine, upper right edge of front corner repaired with archival tape. — Second State: Minor toning to text leaves, some edge-chipped with corner losses. Original yellow coated wrappers pictorially printed in black and blue; minor loss to the upper right corner of the front cover, and to the lower right corner of the rear cover. Housed together in a single blue cloth case with leather spine label.
BOTH STATES OF THE FIRST ENGLISH SOFTCOVER EDITION
The first state bears the misnumbered page 71 (numbered I), and the Appendix and Index at rear; the second state bears the correctly numbered page 71, and a second Appendix replacing the Index at rear. Printed on cheap, acidic paper that deteriorated quickly, these volumes present here are in unusually good condition.
