Arabic manuscript on paper, 309 leaves plus 3 fly-leaves, 15 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink, ruled in black and gold, verses separated by pointed gold roundels, surah headings in gold within cartouches, gold and polychrome verse markers in the margins, f.1b and 2a with a polychrome and gold illuminated frontispiece decorated with rococo elements, f.308b and 309a with a rococo finispiece bifolium consisting of two almond-shaped panels with the text within clouds against a gold ground, in a brown leather binding with gilt-stamped trellis design, with flap
