A closely related example is in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, Inv. 156-1908, which displays the same border of arrow-shaped reserves with scroll outlining and links, and similar small 'S' motifs enclosed in the reserves in the yellow vines. The example in the V & A is however of more typical 'Lotto' colouring [see https://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O360113/carpet-fragment/ ], also illustrated in black and white in Hali 6/4, Winter 1984, King, D., Franses, M., Pinner, R., Turkish Carpets in the Victoria and Albert Museum, pp.354-381, illustrated p. 364, fig. 9. The present example displays an unusually playful range of colours.
