Cask Number 10207/1995, distilled on 31 October 1995, bulk 159.99 litres, 56.1 abv, 89.87 RLA, regauging 31.07.2019, originally filled into a refill Hogshead, reracked into First Fill Oloroso Cask on 05.12.2017, at the time of gauging this cask yields circa 228 bottles 

Distilled at the new Clynelish distillery opposite Brora, the liquid within this cask has been carrying the torch for its closed neighbour during Brora’s dormant years.

Appearance: Orange Gold

As the warmth of alcohol reaches the nostrils this whisky flaunts its biscuity nose with garibaldis, fig rolls and maybe a custard cream. With a drop of water there’s a tart fruit tang of citrus and pineapple (possibly from Clynelish’s long fermentation) that permeates the cereal character before honey and beeswax maker their way up the glass.

In the mouth there are bails of hay, bowls of Shreddies and buttered toast with honey. The waxy identity of Clynelish dominates with the whisky clinging longingly to the palate for a very, very long finish.
