Description
5 inch gauge Great Western Railway, Class 4-6-0 "King George V" No. 6000
built by Mr W. E. Wilks of Bourton, with a copper super-heated boiler.
The fine quality cab with fitted pressure gauge, sight glass with drain cocks, regulator, vacuum control, wheel, reverse control, lever operated firebox doors, detailed copper pipework, and driver's seat. The chassis detail including twin outside and twin inside cylinders with Stephenson’s valve gear, injectors, fluted motion, cab controlled drain cocks, lubricators, whistle, steam brakes and other usual fittings. The six wheel tender with fitted hand feed pump, brakes, water cocks, detailed rivet-work, fitted steps, hand irons, lamp irons, tool boxes, vacuum hoses and couplings finished in Great Western lined dark green livery with polished bright-work. Length: 185cm., 6ft. 3/4in. Cab width: 25cm., 9 7/8in. Transportation case.
Boiler History: Western Steam Boiler No. WSME 073.03.2000. Test pressure 160 psi. Working pressure 80 psi. Southern Federation of Model Engineering Societies Boiler Test Certificate No 8911 Crawley ME. Hydraulic Test 160 psi expired 5th of August 2002. Steam test 80 psi expired 6th of August 2000.
