8vo (8 1/4 x 4 7/8 in.; 210 x 125 mm). Occasional slight dampstaining, lacks table. Half contemporary speckled calf over drab boards, gilt=lettered red morocco label to spine, edges speckled blue; joints starting.
First edition
Archibald Philip Primrose was a Liberal politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from March 1894 to June 1895. It has been said that Primrose had three goals in life: to win the Derby, marry an heiress, and become Prime Minister. He managed to achieve all three.
