8vo, FIRST BOOK EDITION, number 13 of 176 copies of designed and printed by Bruce Rogers for the Rowfant Club, half-title, title-page with vignette printed in orange and brown, headpiece and tailpiece, original marbled boards with label, glassine wrapper, chemise and slipcase, untrimmed and top edge unopened, some light wear to extremities, particularly to the glassine wrapper 

This story first appeared in The Fishing Gazette, in 13 December 1890. Paul Lemperly sought out Kipling for permission to do a separate printing of the tale for the Rowfant Club of Cleveland Ohio. According to the Rowfant's own bibliography, "since its publication it has been the most sought after volume on the Rowfant list".
