THE UPPER PART OF AN EGYPTIAN POLYCHROME WOOD COFFIN LID, 25TH/EARLY 26 DYNASTY, CIRCA 750-600 B.C.


wearing a broad foliate collar, long braided beard with curled tip, and wide striped tripartite wig, his face with full lips rounded at the corners, and large glass-inset eyes, the long cosmetic lines inlaid in silver(?), the inlay of the eyebrows missing.

Height 74.3 cm.
