The villages of the Yuntdag area lie south of the town of Bergama. The decoration of the field is a multilayered arrangement of bars and knots which overlay and intertwine, creating a complex and shifting network of coffered space and floating medallions, all within a border of elegantly drawn rosettes and leaves.
