All the President’s Men (1974) is a non-fiction account by Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, chronicling their investigation into the Watergate scandal that led to President Richard Nixon’s resignation. The book details how the reporters uncovered the links between the break-in at Democratic headquarters and a web of political corruption.

During the Watergate scandal, E. Gordon Liddy was a key operative in the break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters and the ensuing cover-up, ultimately being convicted of burglary, conspiracy, and refusing to testify before Congress. On the other side, Richard Ben-Veniste worked as a prosecutor with the Watergate Special Prosecution Force, investigating the Nixon administration’s illegal activities and helping gather evidence that contributed to convictions and the exposure of the cover-up. Essentially, Liddy orchestrated the crimes, while Ben-Veniste helped bring the perpetrators to justice.

Filmed by Alan J. Pakula, the movie stars Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman as the Washington Post reporters who uncovered the Watergate scandal. It dramatises their investigation, the risks they faced, and the complex web of political corruption. Praised for its suspense and realism, the film won four Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay.
