FEDE GALIZIA | A glass compote with peaches, jasmine flowers, quinces, and a grasshopper

The following condition report has been provided by Karen Thomas of Thomas Art Conservation LLC., 336 West 37th Street, Suite 830, New York, NY 10018, 212-564-4024, info@thomasartconservation.com, an independent restorer who is not an employee of Replica Shoes 's.This picture is in excellent condition overall with beautifully preserved paint layers that arefree of wear. A few scattered tiny retouches are found in the fruit and are clearly visible underultraviolet illumination. Slight lifting following the horizontal grain of the wood support hasdeveloped in a narrow band that runs across the middle of the panel, but does not affect thefruit in the compote dish. The lifting is a result of cross-grain restraint imposed by a framingmethod that has been corrected. A tiny loss has occurred where the bowl meets the foot of thecompote. The panel, which appears to be comprised of a single tangentially-cut board, displaysa minor convex vertical warp. New battens have been inserted into the channels on the reverse.The varnish is even and clear. The lifting paint should be secured to prevent losses fromdeveloping, otherwise the painting may be displayed in its current state.
