- 12.7cm., 5in. diameter
the centre with bust of Pope Leo XII (1823-1829) flanking two nib boxes, the serpentine body embossed with the Haarlem coat-of-arms to one side and papal regalia to the other, with scrolling arm to each side supporting cut glass ink-sander pots, 31.2cm., 12 1/4in. long, together with a silver inkwell, Wilmot Manufacturing Co., Birmingham, 1929, circular, the cover engraved with a coat-of-arms
Condition
The makers mark to the Dutch inkstand indecipherable. Most parts stamped with local tax mark. The glass in apparently good condition. Sits slightly uneven on flat surface. Good overall condition. The other example with bruised and worn cover, sits loosely in hinge. Liner with chip. Moderate condition.
