Description

each with shallow rounded sides rising from a recessed base to a broad flaring rim, painted in underglaze-blue, iron-red and gilt to the interior with a floral medallion encircled by radiating rectangular floral panels

Condition

The plates are in overall good condition with the exception of: minor fritting to the rims, one plate has a 5mm., wide rim chip, three of the plates have hairline rim cracks (2.5, 2.5 and 3cm., long), one plate has a 3cm., hairline rim crack and an associated small rim chip; minor rubbings and loss to the gilding and light glaze scratches.
