the central architectural door surrounded by an arrangement of drawers, the whole inset with engraved ivory panels
Condition
With marks, scratches and minor losses to inlay consistent with age and use, traces of old woodworm which appears to be no longer active and some fading to the ebonised wood. Two drawers with handles detached, one of which is lost. Two drawers with part of the moulded ebonised border detached but present. Two pieces of ivory veneer detached but also present. Only the central door and two drawers retain their locks; one of these is detached.The left side with losses to the ivory inlay, notably the bottom inlay, and lifting to parts of the veneer. The right side with some old repairs to the veneer and some losses, notably to the bottom border. There is one minor lifting to the ivory inlay, also with some losses. A good piece in need of some attention.
