There is a 3 inch line of possibly old breaking or thinning to the canvas which has been reinforced with old adhesive on the reverse ( the area corresponding to the center of the left half of the picture plane). Under UV: there is a varnish which fluoresces blue, and which appears to have been unevenly applied, condensing in some areas to show very dark brown. There is some old retouching in the left-most rose. The roses are very bright and strong; the work presents very well.
