In overall good appearance and condition. There is a minor chip to the interior edge of the rim, and less than typical glaze flakes. Some very minor surface scratching.

Bleu-persan inspired by Nevers faience is exceptionally rare in English delft. Of the very few recorded examples of this form, at least two feature white chinoiserie decoration, one from the collects ion of Simon Sainsbury was sold at Christie's London, 18th June 2008, lot 253, and the second in the same rooms, anon. sale, 15th February 1988, lot 22. Examples are also recorded painted with flowers.
