  • 11cm., 4 3/8 in. high
of Frauen-Kopf form, with a tapering scrollwork body, the edge of the base painted with a small vignette of figures in a landscape, fitted with a gilt.mes tal mounted bloodstone seal of an Earl's coronet with possible cipher SF(?) circa 1860,

A cane handle of similar form is in the Cummer Gallery of Art, Florida, illustrated in the catalogue, The Wark collects ion - Early Meissen porcelain, 1984, p. 246, no. 596.

Condition

There is some typical flaking and rubbings to enamelling of the head consistent with handling. There is some minor scattered kiln speckling. Along the join of the of the porcelain and mount there are traces of an old adhesive.
