- 7.8cm., 3 /8 in. long
oval, in 18th century taste, the lid applied with a large oval plaque, painted in sepia with L’obéissance récompensée, after Boucher, within a garnet border, the grey brown agate overlaid on borders and sides with openwork scrolls and flowers, jewelled flower thumbpiece, opening vertically, apparently unmarked
Condition
enamel plaque chipped, gold border in the middle of box is not fixed and has one solder repair. otherwise good condition and very decorative.
