a larger three-colour gold example,very fine engine-turned panels within narrow coloured gold garland borders, the sides divided by swag hung pilasters, French prestige marks including maker's mark FC, 8.3cm., 3 ¼ in.; and a smaller four-colour gold example, the lid centred with a coloured medallion chased with trophies of live, the engine-turned ground scattered with pellets on reeding, within corded borders, maker’s mark GF below a crown and above a star, the rim further struck with early 19th century Austrian control mark, 6.7cm., 2 5/8 in. wide
