"Beyond being the object of my art, the sweets have now become a language I associate myself with. But I think the biggest reason why I associate myself with them was that sugar was prohibited as a child. I am now taking revenge ... Someone who specializes in language will tell me that the sugar sculptures I created make sense for Pop Art...But at the same t.mes , we must not forget the point of view that sweetens our senses and praises all the issues that sugar carries."
