A large crisp copy with early English provenance of the confessors' manual known as the Pisanella, written in 1338 by a Dominican scholastic from Pisa. This is one of three editions of this text printed in and around 1473 (GW 3450-3452); the other two were printed in Italy and Cologne, which, along with the survival of more than 300 manuscripts, demonstrates the wide diffusion of the text. In the 1440s Nicola da Osimo penned a supplement and Angelo da Chivasso used it for the basis of his Summa Angelica.
