realistically modelled, on a later ebonised wood simulated rocky ground and oblong base
Condition
The stag is part marked and originally part of a larger group. The stag is in good condition with light surface where. The base with a few scuffs and general paint loss.

This model is said to have been part of a centrepiece featuring four stags in varying poses given by the 7th Duke of Atholl as a wedding gift to the vendor's great grandparents Sir Charles and Lady Forbes in 1889.
