Catalogue Note

Titina Rota was born into a musical family in Milan in 1899. A designer and painter, she collaborated with famous theatre directors, film directors and composers of the t.mes , amongst others Max Reinhardt, Renato Simoni, and Claude Debussy, as well as the performers Tatiana Pavlova, Renzo Ricci, Elsa Merlini, and many more. Inspired by the Art Deco, her cost.mes s were designed in a light, colourful, surreal and humourous way. Titina Rota died in Anacapri in 1978.
