Description

  • cistern: 37cm. high., 80cm. wide; 56cm. deep. Base 96cm. wide., 76cm deep; 1ft. 2½in., 2ft. 7½in., 1ft. 10in. 3ft., 1¾in., 2ft. 6in.
the top with scallopshells, with ring-pull lion mask handles to the sides on claw feet surmounted by foliage, on a later ebonised wooden base

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. The cistern is a little dirty with some verde gris internally and old minor, marks, scratches, pitting and discolouration and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. There is some minor resoldering where there has been restoration to the top of the feet which is showing a silvered metal colour. The underside has been restored and patched.
