Overall the condition of the bronze is good, with wear and some dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is wear, including rubbings and flaking, to the lacquer patina throughout. There are several lacunae due to casting flaws, notably to the proper right leg and proper left hip of Saturn and to the base. A casting plug is visible to the proper right buttock of Saturn. There would have been an attribute in Saturn's proper left hand, which is now lost. The marble base is in good condition with some chips and abrasions, notably a chip to one of the corners at the back. There are remnants of labels and seals to the underside, as well as a label inscribed: 2055006
