with scrolled back, bowed seat and padded arms on gadrooned legs and wooden castors
Provenance
Olympia Antiques Fair, London.
Condition
In need of some attention. Joints generally sound and sturdy but both arms on one armchair are loose as there is a construction crack where they join the back and will need fixing and the right arm when facing on the other armchair is also loose and will need some attention. Old minor marks, chips and scratches commensurate with age and normal usage. The leather is worn especially on the arms and there are patches to the seat of one. There is an old minor restoration to the top of the left arm of one where it joins the back. There has been some shrinkage of the dowels in the back and the leather upholstery is cracked and coming away from the back. There is also scuffing to the rear side-rail of one.
