A FINE FAMILY PRESENTATION COPY. This volume collects
s Churchill's immortal speeches of the summer of 1940 during the retreat from Dunkirk, the fall of France, the Battle of Britain, and the London Blitz. It was probably inscribed at Chequers: Mary was living at the Prime Minister's country residence whilst working for the Women's Voluntary Service in nearby Aylesbury, and her father spent most weekends there.
