Catalogue Note
This table would have been conceived as a refraichissor. This translates from the French, literally to mean refresher. They were used to keep bottles chilled, however, according to the note on one of the tin liners Lady Soames, in her unique style, decided it would be a wonderful way for the display flowers in her Drawing Room.
